Are there any people out there who wouldn't take a job acting and modeling for millions of dollars a year? Hmmmm.... Doubt it. Even the meanest, most macho meat-head ex-jock who used to beat up the kids in the theater club would jump at the chance to be paid astronomical sums of cash to play a controversial AIDS patient who takes on the government and the pharmaceutical industry. Money will make people do many strange things, and the potential for making good money in acting and modeling is very good.
The difficult part is paying those dues, keeping your head up through constant rejection, and occasional exploitation, to make it to that one day when you are in the right place at the right time and you land that part, or that modeling gig that opens up the doors for you to have a long, successful career in one of these fields. The most difficult thing to accept is that that super-ideal situation may never come, but this is what you must accept no matter what you try to do. Even in acting and modeling, there is more than one way to become famous or successful, or to find work in these industries. Sometimes it is only after becoming frustrated with the traditional path that people become innovative and create something new.
It is a special kind of person who dedicates themselves to careers like acting and modeling, and an even more special kind of person who is able to stick it out and make their way in the jungles of the entertainment and fashion industries.
