There are many people who dream of acting in movies, or on TV. Some of us always wanted to appear on a certain show since we were kids, others watched Humphry Bogart movies with stars in their eyes. What usually happens is that many people get about as far as their first three auditions and decide that acting is not for them. For whatever the reason, they feel as though they cannot go on in the industry and silently bow out.
Thankfully, rejection, tough auditions, tough times and an endless sea of thankless dues paying playing miniscule, over-looked roles in obscure productions, extra-work, and even - the dreaded costumed characters at Knott's Scary and City Walk, didn't discourage our favorite stars of today. The hardest thing to remember in acting is that no matter how depressing your current situation might be, there is someone who is literally rich and famous right now who may very well have gone through something, or many something's, much worse.
The most valuable quality to anyone seeking a career in acting is perseverance. Acting is the kind of career that is kind to those who are dedicated and stick to it. Your fortune is, "The biggest mistake you can make is to give up".
